Opening event of World Teachers' Day : on 5 October 2021

 

The Opening Event of 2021 World Teachers' Day commemorations will be held on 5 October from 13:00 to 15:00 (Paris time / UTC+2). It will be attended by the Director-General of UNESCO and the Heads of Office of organizing partners - namely UNICEF, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Education International (EI). Several ministers of education and leading experts will share their experience and perspectives on the support teachers need in the educational recovery. From October 4th to 8 th  2021, UNESCO, together with the International Labour Organization (ILO), UNICEF, Education International and numerous partners, will be hosting a series of online open events to share knowledge and the latest research on the key issues affecting the teaching profession, and to exchange best practices from around the world supporting teachers and learning for a successful recovery.

Simultaneous interpretation in one or more UN working languages, i.e., Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian, will be available for most of the events.
