Invitation to the ADEA's Remote Education Benchmarking Toolkits Validation Workshop

The Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) is pleased to invite you to the Validation Workshop of its Remote Education Benchmarking Toolkits. The Workshop will be held virtually on Tuesday, 22 June 2021 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm GMT on Zoom.

In order to obtain a clearer view of the status of education during the COVID-19 period, ADEA conducted two rapid surveys between March and June 2020 on the national situation of the education sector in 14 most-affected African countries at that time. The main outcome of these surveys has illuminated the need to provide guidance to the countries on how to prepare better for future insulation of education from crises like COVID-19. In response, ADEA has developed 3 Remote Education Benchmarking Toolkits jointly with countries and partners. The first one is on Basic Education, the second for Technical and Vocational Skills Development (TVSD) and the third for Higher Education.

The Remote Education Benchmarking Toolkits focus exclusively on remote education. They are primarily designed to assist African countries to improve their level of preparedness in the provision of quality hybrid education in future. This necessitates, among others, generating the requisite public and private partnerships and infrastructures for the sustained development of human capital. The target stakeholders are ministries in charge of education and training from the 55 African countries and other education actors.
