As a follow-up to the launch of the PASEC 2019 international assessment report, CONFEMEN is planning to organise several webinars to explore certain themes in greater depth, in order to provide an opportunity for researchers and education stakeholders at international level to exchange views with a view to enriching the educational debate.

To this end, CONFEMEN invites you to a webinar on 25 June 2021 at 1:00 pm UTC on "Issues and challenges of mother tongues and languages of teaching and learning".

This topic is closely linked to the theme of the next CONFEMEN Reflection and Orientation Document (DRO) on "First language and language of instruction: what strategies to facilitate early learning, academic success and living together in the 21st century" which will be discussed at the 59th ministerial session.

This webinar will be an opportunity to discuss the issue of mother tongues and languages of instruction/learning, which is a matter of concern in education systems.
