Knowledge sharing workshop on the OAA initiative on 21st Century Skills assessment

A review of education systems of over 150 countries indicated that many countries have incorporated 21^st century skills within their education policy documents[1]. However, the challenge is in implementing a skills agenda, with appropriate teaching strategies and well-designed assessment tools that are aligned with the changing educational goals.

TALENT, in collaboration with Brookings Institution and Global Partnership for Education, is organizing a knowledge sharing workshop the 16^th-17^th July in Dakar (Senegal), with the aim to support the 10 participant countries to improve the assessment, teaching, and learning of 21^st century skills. This activity will be the first of a six-month study that, through a data gathering, aims to identify existing assessment tools that are related to 21^st century skills.

Participant countries: Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Kenya, Lesotho, Mali, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Tanzania, Zambia.
