 (16-17 July, 2018)

A review of education systems of over 150 countries indicated that many countries have incorporated 21st century skills within their education policy documents[1]. However, the challenge is in implementing a skills agenda, with appropriate teaching strategies and well-designed assessment tools that are aligned with the changing educational goals.

TALENT, in collaboration with Brookings Institution and Global Partnership for Education, is organizing a knowledge sharing workshop the 16th-17th July in Dakar (Senegal), with the aim to support the 10 participant countries to improve the assessment, teaching, and learning of 21st century skills. This activity will be the first of a six-month study that, through a data gathering, aims to identify existing assessment tools that are related to 21st century skills.

Participant countries: Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Kenya, Lesotho, Mali, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Tanzania, Zambia.
