Thursday 20 January
- Mission: Recovering Education - What is needed to avoid losing a generation
The UNESCO, UNICEF and World Bank webinar will examine national educational responses to the Omicron variant.

- Monitoring learning outcomes: Towards understanding the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Monitoring Impacts on Learning Outcomes (MILO)project , implemented by the UNESCO Institute for Statistics with technical support of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) examines reading and mathematics outcomes in 6 countries in Africa.

- Expo 2020 Dubai: International UNESCO Chairs Forum on the futures of higher education, collective intelligence for knowledge and learning
Co-organized with Italy, the event will focus on skills for work and life, digitalization and connectivity.

- Expo 2020 Dubai: Event co-organized by UNESCO and the UAE on reimagining the future of education
The event will focus on UNESCO’s report, teacher innovations and student perspectives.

Presentation of findings of this survey conducted by IEA and UNESCO. Covering eleven countries, the survey provides insights based on the perceptions of school principals, teachers and students on the impact of COVID-19.

The webinar will highlight the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education systems worldwide and the most crucial transformations that needs to be nurtured to build more sustainable, inclusive, and peaceful futures.
